Honey-Citrus Yogurt Drink
Many years ago, I learned this recipe from my aunt who's very health conscientious. Later on, I heard about similar recipes from a few other sources.
Most of the health-food recipes my aunt taught me were just too healthy, so I had no interest in trying them out. With the exception of this recipe, the honey-citrus yogurt drink has become one of my favorites!
For some, a cup of coffee is enough for breakfast. Others want a more substantial meal. If you only have 15 minutes to spare in the mornings, you may want to try out this healthy and refreshing breakfast choice. It's a great way to start your day.
Ingredients (2 servings):
1 lime
1 mandarin
2 table spoons of honey
1 cup of milk
1 cup of plain yogurt
You can substitute any of the fruits with whatever citrus fruits that are available in your area, such as lemon and orange.
Likewise, honey can be replaced with any natural sweetener such as maple syrup.
Voila! Now, you can create your own signature yogurt drink.
How To Prepare:
1. Extract the juice from the fruits and pour it into a bowl. Remove any excess seeds.
2. Add the honey and stir. Then, add the plain yogurt and mix well.
3. Finally, add the milk and stir until all the ingredients are well blended.
4. Cover the bowl with a lid and keep refrigerated. Serve within half an hour.
Alternate Menu
Other than drinking the honey-citrus yogurt drink as a beverage, you can mix it in a bowl with fresh fruits or muesli.
If you find it too thin, just reduce the amount of fresh milk or skip it all together. Then, you'll end up with a thick and fruity yogurt.

The yogurt drink is full of protein, vitamins, minerals, some fiber and vital enzymes. In short, it's a very healthy drink. If you consume it early in the afternoon, it also cleanses the small intestine.
